Creative Forces
Set up to support up-and-coming design talents from Belgium and the Netherlands, De Invasie staged its first 'invasion' three years ago. Fifty selected designers set up camp in Bruges, selling their work straight to the public; since then, the project's army of creatives has successfully invaded Leuven, Kortrijk and Gent, along with a number of smaller-scale incursions.
Now it's Antwerp's turn. On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March, around 70 young designers, jewellers and artists will occupy the former ethnographic museum on the Suikerrui. For a taste of what's in store, visit the online shop, which is particularly strong on accessories; look out for silversmith Elisa Lee's blown-glass cherry earrings (€200) and Lisa Colpaert's cool, surreally-printed silk scarves (from €40).

Prints Charming
Textile designer Celia Birtwell's bold, bohemian prints helped to define '60s style, and her designs were worn by everyone from Twiggy to Jimi Hendrix. Surviving pieces are hugely sought after - but now there's a fresh chance to bag yourself a Birtwell, thanks to a new collaboration with Uniqlo. Launching on 21 March, online and in stores, the collection will take in tote bags, T-shirts, leggings and more, in striking archive prints.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer, €17
The latest additions to the Pure Color range were inspired by Paris in the springtime - which translates to softly glossy polishes in pretty, macaroon hues. Yellow-green Absinthe is the most daring, while Coral Cult is a classic in the making; our pick, though, is Dilettante, in the softest of pastel blues.

Part of Dior's Chérie Bow spring collection, 'Charming' is aptly named. The texture is soft and sheer, the colour sweet without being cloying, and the packaging beautifully sleek. It's lighter than a lipstick, but without the stickiness of a gloss: perfect, in short, for springtime.

Something of a cult beauty buy, Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks impart a dewy, softly iridescent glow. The pinks can be used as blusher or individual eyeshadows, the paler shades as highlighters; for all-over radiance, swirl a brush across all five.
